Anjali Clauda, MD, is an assistant professor of pediatrics in the Division of Critical Care Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital/University of Cincinnati Medical Center, followed by a pediatric critical care fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Clauda’s academic interests lie at the intersection of critical care outcomes and social determinants of health. Her current research examines the impact of childhood opportunity and social vulnerability on pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) outcomes. She has also contributed to research on the incidence of childhood obesity in patients with Fontan circulation and has participated in neuroimmunological studies on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA) axis.
Dr. Clauda has led projects from protocol design through IRB approval, data analysis, and manuscript development, and her work has resulted in multiple peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Clauda is also actively involved in quality improvement initiatives and is a committed educator, delivering regular lectures to trainees in critical care medicine. Her academic contributions reflect a dedication to advancing evidence-based, equity-driven care in pediatric critical care settings.
