Department of Pediatrics national recognitions

At its recent gala, An Evening to Ignite the Future, the PCD Foundation of North America recognized UTHealth Houston for its international efforts to support children with primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD). The gala was held at the Chicago History Museum on November 8. Ricardo Mosquera, MD, MPH, Professor and Director of the Pulmonary and Sleep Division, attended to represent UTHealth Houston.

The TSC Alliance honored Hope Northrup, MD, and her research team with the Progress in Research Award at their 50th Anniversary Gala: An Evening of Progress and Promise. Dr. Northrup has been a leading researcher on tuberous sclerosis complex for many years and was excited to share this momentous occasion with many colleagues, long-time patients and their families, all of whom have become friends.
