Biography

Sophia M. Bradley Kulkarni, MS, CGC, is a board-certified genetic counselor with a strong focus on inpatient genetics, genetic testing workflows, and postmortem genetic evaluation. She earned her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from Wayne State University School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saginaw Valley State University.

Sophia has contributed to the field through multiple national presentations, including a 2024 NSGC platform presentation on supporting the medical examiner’s role in identifying inherited cardiac disease in cases of sudden cardiac death. In 2025, she presented two posters at the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) annual meeting, highlighting rare genetic variants and syndromic diagnoses, and delivered Pediatrics Grand Rounds on the role of inpatient genetic testing.

With clinical interests in rare disease diagnosis, autopsy-informed genetic testing, and systems-based approaches to care delivery, Sophia is committed to advancing precision medicine in hospital-based settings.
