Ricardo Mosquera, MD, MPH, was chosen to speak at the PCD On the Move International Scientific Conference set for August 20 to 22 in Minneapolis, MN.

Sarah Cavenaugh, MD, FAAP, will present at the Texas Pediatric Society Annual Meeting in October. Her proposal is “Smart Care for Kids: Exploring AI’s Promise and Pitfalls in Pediatric Medicine.”

  • Kim K. Cheung, MD, PhD, will also be presenting at that meeting.

Dana DeMaster, PhD, participated in a panel at the 28th Annual UTHealth Houston Neuroscience Forum on April 2. Forum theme was Youth Mental Health: Navigating the Storm & Stress of Adolescence.

Medical Genetics Division made a strong showing at the American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG) Meeting in Los Angeles, CA. Paul Hillman, MD, PhD, made an oral presentation and the team presented 9 posters.

 

 

Population Health Symposium

Sandy McKay, MD, FAAP, Associate Professor and Community & General Pediatrics Division Director, was a planner of and presenter at the inaugural Population Health Symposium held at the Fayez S. and Susan K. Sarofim Research Building on April 10.

Week of the Young Child

CLI’s Keisey Fumero, PhD, was invited to be the keynote speaker for the 2025 Week of the Young Child celebration hosted by Spring Independent School District. This annual event is a fun-filled week celebrating young children, their teachers, families, and communities.
