Biography

Kirthi Devireddy, MD, is an assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She provides comprehensive, family-centered care for hospitalized children, with a particular focus on those with complex and chronic medical needs.

Dr. Devireddy earned her MBBS degree from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research in Chennai, India, and completed her pediatric residency training at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. During residency, she was selected for the Advocacy Leadership Track and completed the Physician Educator Certificate Program, experiences that deepened her commitment to both child health advocacy and medical education.

Fluent in multiple languages, Dr. Devireddy is committed to improving communication and connection with patients and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Her academic and professional interests include quality improvement, advocacy, child injury prevention and medical education. She is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of pediatricians while advancing initiatives that improve patient safety and the health of children and families.
