Suhei Zuleta De Bernardis, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric pulmonologist with expertise in the diagnosis and management of childhood respiratory disorders. She earned her medical degree from Universidad del Zulia in Venezuela, completed her pediatric residency at the Municipal Hospital in Puerto Rico, and her fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
Dr. Zuleta’s clinical expertise includes pediatric asthma, chronic lung disease of infancy, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, congenital and genetic lung disorders, and care for children with complex respiratory conditions. She is proficient in pulmonary function testing, flexible bronchoscopy, and multidisciplinary care coordination for medically complex and technology-dependent patients.
Dr. Zuleta practices at UT Physicians Pediatric Centers in Houston and Katy where she collaborates with subspecialists, therapists, and families to provide comprehensive, culturally responsive care. She is actively involved in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives focused on advancing pediatric pulmonary diagnostics and therapeutics.
As an assistant professor in the Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Division, Dr. Zuleta mentors residents and fellows in both clinical and academic settings. Fluent in English and Spanish, she is committed to equitable health care access and medical education that reflect the diverse needs of the communities she serves.
