Gabriel Anzueto, MD, presented at the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) Annual Meeting held Oct. 15-18, in New Orleans, LA: “Down Syndrome Across the Lifespan: Moving Beyond Milestones to Resilience through Functioning and Thriving”

Sandy McKay, MD, spoke at Carla Diaz-Lewis Domestic Violence Lecture Series at the Cizik School of Nursing on Oct. 27: “The Importance of Screening for Gun Violence in Clinical Encounters”

Natalie Montanez, FNP-C, CACP, and Rida Haider, MS, CGC, presented at the inaugural Great Plains Bleed and Clot case forum on Oct. 3: “Prothrombin Belgrade: Expanding Thrombophilia Genetics Beyond Standard Testing (First Reported Mexican American Family with Recurrent VTE).”

Jaclyn E. Ruggiero, MD, presented at the Masters Events Transform Trauma conference held in Oxford, England, Sept. 28-30. Her talk, entitled “Born to Bond” focused on the science of connection, attachment, and the impact of trauma on the developing brain.

Andrea Ramirez Varela, MD, PhD, MPH, presented the findings from her collaborative Futbolito for All research at “Futbolito and Beyond: Programs, Policies, and Community Partnerships for Promoting Physical Activity in Schools” held Oct. 13 at TMC Helix Park.
