- Vershanna Morris, MD, (pictured above, second from right) featured in an article and Instagram post by Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation: “Prescribing Literacy: McGovern Medical Students Champion Early Childhood Development.”
- Michael Chang, MD, joined the Children at Risk podcast, Growing Up in America, to talk about the current flu season.
- Dr. Chang joined Houston Public Media to talk about the importance of the hepatitis B vaccine for newborns.
- Pediatric Outpatient Clinic Food Drive included in “Caring in action: Holiday giveback initiatives across UTHealth Houston” on UTP Connect.
- Sandra McKay, MD, FAAP, (pictured below, third from left) and her colleagues were quoted in stories about the city of Houston’s new public dashboard, SAFEWatch, that tracks gun violence and firearm injuries in Harris County. Quotes from McKay appeared in the Houston Chronicle, KPRC-TV Channel 2 News, My Neighborhood News, and The Leader. The press conference announcing SAFEWatch was also posted on UTHealth Houston Instagram.
- On National Injury Prevention Day, Dr. McKay joined FOX 26 News to share tips for buying safe toys for children.
