Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellows (now PHM faculty) Adil Siddiqui, MD; Nam Nguyen, MD; Shreeya Patel, MD; and Emmalee Holt, MD, not only had their poster accepted to the Texas Pediatric Society annual meeting this September, they were awarded first place in the Evidence-Based Medicine/Quality Improvement category. Faculty mentors were Shivani Briggs, MD, FAAP; Jean Hsu, DO, FAAP; and Maha Kaissi, MD, MHPE, FAAP.

CMHH NICU receives 2025 VON Award

The Annual Vermont Oxford Network (VON) Award for Excellence in Quality Improvement (external link) recognizes VON member teams who demonstrate dedication to VON core values of quality improvement: measurement, evidence, families, equity, and collaboration. The Children’s Memorial Hermann NICU team was recognized as a recipient for their work to implement a care bundle to optimize neurodevelopment in infants with BPD.
