Continuing Medical Education

Conference attendees

The Department of Pediatrics provides a plethora of supplemental learning opportunities some to meet ACGME requirements or give Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit and others to simply expand the knowledge base of our clinicians and researchers. Each Fellowship and Residency Program offers specific training within their specialized field, but General Pediatrics Ground Rounds are available to absolutely any physician seeking to broaden their horizons and secure some CME.

Grand Rounds (General Pediatrics)

Tuesdays, 8:00 to 9:00 am
Virtual
ACCME accredited

Grand Rounds are a series of lectures, hosted on Zoom, that present the symptoms, diagnosis, and management of a particular disease in the pediatric population. A different Division leads each month so attendees are exposed to a wide range of topics and expertise. Residents, fellows and attendings are encouraged to attend. McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians, and there are specific requirements to receive CME credit.
