Biography

Dr. David McMann is an Assistant Professor in the Children’s Heart Institute, Division of Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Medicine. He completed his medical training. He earned his Master’s in Education at the University of Houston. Currently he is the physician lead for quality and process improvement in the Heart Center Intensive Care Unit.

Areas of Interest

Clinical Interests

Dr. McMann is the director of Physician Quality/Process Improvement for the HCICU. In this role, Dr. McMann focuses primarily on improve the safety and quality of the care provided the Heart Center’s Intensive Care Unit.

Research Interests

His primary research interest is quality improvement and the application of the Lean Six Sigma methodology to improve the safety of pediatric cardiac patients.
