Pediatric Brain and Spine Thrombosis Clinic

The Pediatric Brain and Spine Thrombosis Clinic exists to address one of the top 10 causes of death in children: cerebrovascular disease. This clinic provides comprehensive and multidisciplinary — pediatric hematology and neurology — medical care to children affected by cerebrovascular disorders, including pediatric stroke and cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST). Though conditions like CVST are rare in neonates and older children, they are still associated with significant morbidity and mortality. This clinic brings experts together to collaborate on effective treatments.
