The Division of Pediatric Neurology conducts clinical trials through its Center for the Treatment of Pediatric Neurodegenerative Diseases (CTPND). CTPND is a prolific hub for this work, often with up to 30 active clinical trials at one time. Studies have focused on a variety of neurological, neuro-metabolic, and neurodevelopmental conditions including ataxia telangiectasia, mitochondrial disorders, tuberous sclerosis complex, spinal muscular atrophy, pediatric stroke, migraines, Tourette’s disorder, refractory epilepsy, focal onset seizures, and developmental epileptic encephalopathy (DEE). The faculty investigators collaborate with multiple industry sponsors such as Abliva, Jazz Pharma, Pfizer, Supernus Pharma, Xenon Therapeutics, and many more.
