Magnetoencephalography (MEG) Fellowship

The Department of Pediatrics at UTHealth Houston is proud to offer a one-year fellowship in Magnetoencephalography (MEG) and Surgical Epilepsy, which begins on July 1. Applicants must have completed a residency program in neurology or child neurology accredited in the United States or Canada.

The Clinical MEG/Surgical Epilepsy Fellow Program is a non-ACGME accredited training program involving in-depth, hands-on data analysis; interpretation and application of advanced diagnostic techniques; a focus on MEG, electrocorticography (ECoG), intracranial EEG (including both subdural grids and stereo EEG); and cortical mapping. This program is one of only a few such formalized one-year training programs in the U.S. or Canada. The ideal candidate would be a second-year fellow who has already completed epilepsy fellowship training.

Program features

  • State-of-the-art MEG system with movement compensation, etc.
  • Exposure to both pediatric and adult epilepsy
  • Adult and pediatric epilepsy surgery programs with high volumes of intracranial EEG cases including robotic SEEG and MR guided laser interstitial thermal therapy
  • A collegial academic atmosphere with research opportunities in MEG and epilepsy
  • Excellent mentorship with accessible attending staff

To apply, please download and complete the BioForm and return with an electronic copy of your CV via email to [email protected]. Additionally, we require 3 letters of recommendation to schedule an interview.
