Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship
The Mission of the UTHealth Houston Pediatric Pulmonology Training program is to provide the next generation of Pediatric Pulmonologists with the skills needed to advance the health and quality of care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with acute and/or chronic respiratory disorders in the city of Houston, the state of Texas and beyond. This will be accomplished through advanced education in clinical care, scholarly activities, research, quality improvement, patient safety, and patient advocacy in collaboration with other Pediatric subspecialties and Departments in the McGovern Medical School.
We are dedicated to educating a diverse body of physicians to advance patient-centered care and pursue innovative research.
The Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship is an ACGME-accredited, three-year program that offers comprehensive training in Pediatric Pulmonology. We aim to give all trainees the skills needed to be independent practitioners who can advance the care of children with lung disease through clinical, educational, and investigational activities, and through patient advocacy.
Potential fellows, the training program you choose is integral in the development of your knowledge and clinical skills during fellowship and eventually help direct your career path in pediatric pulmonary medicine. Our program focuses on you as an individual and customizes your educational journey to best fit your needs and aspirations. We adjust our educational curriculum based on the needs assessment of each fellow’s performance and their specific career interests and goals. The faculty is deeply committed to training fellows and actively engages, supports, and guides the fellows in their educational pursuits. As a testament to our dedication to fellow education, we have a 100% board pass rate on the first attempt for ALL fellows who have graduated from our program.
Training for first-year fellows starts on July 7.
