Biography

Simra Javaid, DO, is a clinical assistant professor of pediatric rehabilitation medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. She provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for pediatric patients with physical disabilities. She is affiliated with TIRR Memorial Hermann, UT Physicians, and Children’s Memorial Hermann.

She received her medical degree at Touro University of  Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014. She completed her internship at Valley Hospital Medical Center, and then her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan within Wayne State University. She then did a two year Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX, completing this in 2021.
