Our structured two-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology is a collaboration between TIRR Memorial Hermann and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth)/McGovern Medical School. The fellow’s formal appointment is as a postdoctoral fellow within the UTHealth/McGovern Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. A majority of the clinical and research activities will take place at TIRR’s inpatient and outpatient programs, located within and near the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Thanks to close partnerships among postdoctoral neuropsychology training programs in Houston, additional specialty rotations at other institutions are available and encouraged in order to provide well-rounded training suited to careers within a variety of practice settings.
During their training, fellows complete four major six-month rotations and three to four minor six-month rotations, as well as Nervous System & Behavior course through the UTHealth McGovern Medical School.
