UTHealth Houston Trauma Faculty Speak at South Texas Symposium
David E. Meyer, MD, MS, FACS, Associate Professor, and Krislynn M. Mueck, MD, MPH, MS, Assistant Professor, both from the Division of Acute Care Surgery, were featured speakers at the 4th Annual South Texas Advanced Symposium on Trauma, Critical Care, and Emergency General Surgery. The event took place on Friday, August 16, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton McAllen Convention Center, attracting local first responders and healthcare providers from across the Rio Grande Valley.
Dr. Meyer presented on the ‘Recognition and Management of Hemorrhagic Shock,’ while Dr. Mueck shared valuable insights on ‘Pain Management Strategies and Adjuncts in Acute Care Surgery.’ The symposium provided an important platform for professionals to collaborate and enhance the delivery of acute care in the region.”
