Application Process
We are accepting applications for Fellowships beginning March 1, 2024
Applicants must use the Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery Fellowship Application Service, SAFAS.
Interviews will take place from May through July, 2024. Suitable candidates will be contacted by the program director or coordinator.
The NRMP Match Program
The Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Programs participate in the NRMP Match Program.

Requirements
- Applications are only accepted through SAFAS. Please no not mail, fax, or email any information unless asked to do so.
- McGovern Medical School only sponsors J-1 Visas.
- All Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Critical Care applicants must meet the minimum requirements for Surgical Critical Care as outlined by the ACGME.
- Incoming Acute Care Surgery fellows are required to obtain a full Texas medical license prior to starting.
