Applicants must use the Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery Fellowship Application Service, SAFAS.
Interviews typically take place from May until the end of July. Suitable candidates will be contacted by the program director or coordinator.

- McGovern Medical School only sponsors J-1 Visas.
- All Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Critical Care applicants must meet the minimum requirements for Surgical Critical Care as outlined by the ACGME.
- Incoming Acute Care Surgery fellows are required to obtain a full Texas medical license prior to starting.
