Rotations
Fellows spend the majority of their time at the Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center campus.
Dedicated rotations for the fellows occur at:
- Memorial Hermann Sugar Land – for added experience in comprehensive foregut surgery as well as non-bariatric advanced laparoscopy and robotics, including minimally invasive techniques in non-trauma acute care gastrointestinal surgery.
- Memorial Hermann Memorial City – this campus performs more laparoscopic gastric bypass procedures than any campus in the Memorial Hermann System. This rotation provides broad exposure to laparoscopic (non-robotic) primary and revisional gastric bypass with hand sewn techniques.
During the year, the fellow will get one elective rotation to be spent at one of the three other MIS fellowship sites in the MIST Consortium. This elective rotation is done early in the fellowship year.
