How to Make Fried Brown Rice

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp canola oil
  • 2 cups brown rice, cooked
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, diced
  • ½ cup white onion, diced
  • 2 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Lean meat of choice or tofu, cooked and cut into bite-sized pieces (optional)

Recipe Directions

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat until translucent.
  • Add cooked rice to skillet. Then add garlic and onions. Stir to distribute vegetables.
  • Stir in soy sauce. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Mix in beaten egg. Add cooked meat or tofu if desired.
