Career Opportunities

Multiple positions are available starting from September 2015 in well-funded Han Lab:

  • Computational postdocs: The qualified candidates should be highly motivated in research with a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Biostatistics, Statistics, Genetics, or related field, and have strong experience in analyzing high-throughput omics data, such as genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, with strong skills in at least one programming language (Perl, Python, Java, C/C++, or R). Outstanding applicants may be appointed/promoted as research-track faculties.
  • Experimental postdocs: The qualified candidates should have a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, RNA Biology, or related field, and have strong experience in CRISPR, cell culture, stem cells, cell proliferation, etc. Outstanding applicants may be appointed/promoted as research-track faculties.
  • Scientific Programmer: The qualified candidates should be highly motivated in research, have strong experience in analyzing high-throughput omics data, such as genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, with strong skills in at least one programming language (Perl, Python, Java, C/C++, or R).
  • Students: Students from Texas Medical Center (TMC), including University of Texas health Science Center at Houston, The University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) at Houston, MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC), Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), etc, are encouraged to send me the email to discuss the potential opportunities in our lab.
  • Visiting Scholars/Students: Visiting Scholars/Students with computational biology and/or RNA Biology/Cancer Biology/Genetics background are encouraged to send me the email to discuss the potential opportunities in our lab.
