CPR performed by wife gives Houston man time to reach hospital care and cardiac surgery with Nahas

During the summer of 2020, Pearland, TX resident, Quan Collins and his wife Ganessa ventured out for their daily outdoor exercise routine including a jog through a nearby park. Their outing took a quick turn as Collins collapsed. Fast thinking Ganessa took immediate action by performing CPR while she waited for paramedics to arrive. After a series of diagnostic testing, assistant professor of cardiothoracic surgery, Cesar Nahas, MD at McGovern Medical School performed a coronary artery bypass.
