Welcome Vascular Surgeon, Dr. Aleem Mirza

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth (University of Texas Health and Science Center at Houston) is pleased to welcome vascular surgeon, Dr. Aleem Mirza to the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Mirza completed his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed his integrated vascular surgery training at Mayo Clinic- Rochester. Upon completing his residency program. Prior to joining the McGovern Medical School’s Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Dr. Mirza held a Vascular Surgeon position at Minneapolis Heart Institute. Dr. Mirza now serves as an Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery, offering specialized care at Memorial Hermann Sugarland Campus.

He specializes in minimally invasive treatment of vascular disease with a clinical and research interest in the treatment of aortic disease. He is active in many research studies, has published articles in several medical journals, and has presented on many topics surrounding vascular surgery interventions.
