Moghe Helps Deliver Answers After Decades of Unexplained Pain

After years of debilitating symptoms and an elusive diagnosis, Tabatha Spacek found answers with the help of Akshata Moghe, MD, assistant professor and hepatologist at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Moghe helped identify acute intermittent porphyria, a rare genetic disorder that had affected multiple generations of Spacek’s family, bringing long-awaited clarity and a path forward after decades of uncertainty.
