Nirav Thosani, MD, MHA, professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and director of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, was recently featured in Medscape Medical News discussing new guidance from the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) on the endoscopic management of colonic strictures.
The new ASGE guideline provides updated recommendations for the evaluation and endoscopic management of benign and malignant colonic strictures. Thosani, who serves as chair of the ASGE Standards of Practice Committee, contributed his expertise to the guidance.
