Vivian Kaul, MD | McGovern Medical School

Biography

Vivian Kaul, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology. Dr. Kaul completed her neurotology fellowship at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center where she was also a lecturer in the audiology department. She is a cum laude graduate with a major in neuroscience from the College of William & Mary and received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She continued her training with an otolaryngology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Dr. Kaul is dual board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery in both Otolaryngology and Neurotology.

She is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, the American Neurotology Society, the Triological Society, and the North American Skull Base Society. Dr. Kaul has collaborated on many articles, oral presentations, and poster presentations and is the author of several book chapter reviews.

Dr. Vivian Kaul is fluent in both English and Mandarin. She has been both a marathon runner and a competitive figure skater.

Her clinical interests include hearing loss, cochlear implants, bone anchored hearing aids, acoustic neuroma, vestibular schwannoma, imbalance, vertigo, tinnitus, otosclerosis, and cholesteatoma.
