Save the Date: 2024 Texas Hill Country ENT Symposium
The Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at UTHealth Houston will sponsor 2024 Texas Hill Country ENT Symposium, its biennial two-day CME meeting, at the Lakeway Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas, during March 22-23. The course is designed for practicing otolaryngologists, as well as residents and fellows in training, and other health care providers interested in a comprehensive update on advances in medical and surgical care of diseases of the ears, nose, throat, and related structures. The goal is to enhance day-to-day care provided by community-based otolaryngologists in Texas and across the country.
Presentations will include lectures and panel discussions on recurrent chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, office procedures for rhinitis, allergic fungal rhinosinusitis, non-eosinophilic rhinosinusitis, maximizing audiology return on investment using cost-efficient technological innovations, implantable hearing aids, tongue and lip ties, pediatric head and neck masses, chronic cough, opioid management, the needs of head and neck cancer survivors, state-of-the-art hair transplantation, image simulation and management of expectations in plastic surgery, and HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancer treatment updates.
Saturday sessions will be held in the morning, allowing participants to pursue recreational activities at the resort in the afternoon. The meeting style is informal to give participants and faculty the opportunity to interact freely.
Course directors are Martin Citardi, MD, professor, chair, and vice dean for technology; Zhen “Jane” Huang, MD, assistant professor; Zi Yang Jiang, MD, associate professor, and chief of pediatric otolaryngology; W. Katherine Kao, MD, assistant professor; and Denna Zebda, MD, assistant professor.
