Only 2.5% of physicians practicing in Texas are named to the Rising Stars list, which is published online at superdoctors.com.

Dr. Huang was born in southern China and moved to Dallas with her family at the age of seven. She went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C.

In 2022, she completed subcertification requirements for complete pediatric otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Subcertification in CPO recognizes pediatric otolaryngologists who complete additional training, successfully demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills beyond primary certification, and maintain an ongoing clinical practice within the subspecialty. The criteria that define CPO clinical practice include practice setting, case types, and participation in multidisciplinary activities.

Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, Dr. Huang has a strong interest in improving health care delivery and population health. Her clinical interests are broad and include sleep-disordered breathing, congenital neck masses, open and endoscopic pediatric airway surgery, chronic ear disorders and hearing loss, and pediatric voice disorders.

Dr. Huang, who joined the Department of Otorhinolaryngology in 2016, has been named to the Texas Super Doctors Rising Stars list several times. Super Doctors Rising Stars are selected based on hospital appointments, professional activities, leadership positions, academic achievements, board certifications, publications and presentations, and recognitions.
