Members of the Otolaryngology Residency Class of 2030 at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston will arrive in Texas this summer after graduating from medical schools in Washington, Massachusetts, and California. The department’s new residents, who matched to its residency training program through the National Resident Matching Program®, are Luis Gomez-Castillo, MD, a native of Mexico City, who graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine; Tara Nibhanupudy, MD, from Lake Mary, Florida, a graduate of Boston University Medical School; and Jonathan Pang, MD, a California native and graduate of the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine.
“We’ve had another very successful match, which I believe is a testament to our great department, faculty, partnering departments, residents, and our staff. I’m personally ecstatic to welcome these three young high-caliber physicians, whom I got to know while they rotated at our institution,” says William C. Yao, MD, associate professor of otorhinolaryngology, chief of rhinology, and director of the otolaryngology residency program. “We look forward to working with them as they train to become leaders in our field.”
