Dr. Vivek John, MD, an assistant professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, provides comprehensive otolaryngology care for pediatric and adult patients. Dr. John earned his undergraduate degree in medical sciences at the University of Western Ontario before coming to the United States for medical school at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He then completed residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) where he was awarded Resident Educator of the Year in 2022.
He participated in and led research projects throughout his undergraduate, medical school, and residency years. Dr. John is the co-author of several publications and posters and has given presentations on a variety of topics in the field of otorhinolaryngology.
Following residency, Dr. Vivek John worked for several years at IU Health Arnett Ear, Nose & Throat and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS).
Dr. John’s clinical interests include sleep surgery, Inspire, and comprehensive otorhinolaryngology, including sinus, pediatric, and thyroid care.
