Yuying Liu, PhD, MEd, received the American Association of Immunologists (AAI) Laboratory Travel Grant (external link) to attend the Immunology 2026 Conference in Boston.

Shannon Erhardt, MS, Wang Lab graduate research student, is one of four student recipients of this year’s T.F. Burks Scholarship for Academic Merit (external link).

Chinyere O’Connor, MD, received an outstanding poster award through the Shine Academy (external link): From Dilemma to Development: Assessing Professional Identity Formation, Resilience, and Burnout in Pediatric Residents. Terri Major-Kincade, MD, MPH, and Syed Hashmi, MD, PhD, were also on the poster.
Dr. O’Connor also received the third place for the Judith Drew Innovations in Health Science Award (external link) for her project “Transforming Pediatric Ethics Education: A Multimodal Program with Development and Validation of a Resident Assessment Tool, Performance Evaluation with Standardized Patients, and a Sustainable Curriculum Design”

Amalia Guardiola, MD, was elected member at large of the Council on Medical Education in Pediatrics (external link) (COMSEP) Board of Directors.
