Our mission

As a treatment center in a federally funded network of programs, Gulf States Hemophilia and Thrombophilia Center (GSHTC) provides compassionate, quality care to individuals with bleeding and clotting disorders.

GSHTC maintains this standard of excellence through a Comprehensive Care Model featuring diagnostic treatment plans, education, and research with a team of  multidisciplinary professionals who are experts in this field. Our center is a regional leader committed to continuing clinical and scientific advancements through the development of new, increasingly effective therapies.

In-house pharmacy: convenient and cost effective

The Gulf States Pharmacy is a specialty pharmacy that was established in 1995 to provide clotting factor and related products to the patients of The Gulf States Hemophilia and Thrombophilia Center through a federal-discount program. This program, referred to as the 340B Drug Pricing Program, requires that the money generated be used only to maintain and enhance comprehensive care at a Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC), which means better care for you and your family.
