To help our patients with inherited conditions understand the genetic aspects of their disorders, Gulf States Hemophilia and Thrombophilia Center (GSHTC) offers genetic counseling for patients and their families.

GSHTC genetic counselors assist patients with hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, and other rare inherited bleeding disorders understand their test results and options. Our staff is able to equip patients to make educated decisions about their care and family testing.

Based on your test results, your GSHTC genetic counselor will work with you and your family on understanding the genetic aspects of your condition.
