What is Target Safety?
Target Safety is a program to raise awareness of Texas-based retailers who offer temporary firearm storage.
Temporary firearm storage might be helpful for a number of reasons:
- Is someone in your home feeling low?
- Are you going out of town and need a safe place to store firearms for a week or two?
- Are having young visitors and want to have a safe place to hold guns for a weekend?
Whatever the situation, it is best to be safe.
Target Safety Retailers
These Houston-area retailers participate in the Target Safety program to offer safe gun storage. If you are travelling outside the city, this interactive map shows safe firearm storage locations across the country.
