QuestionPro replacing Qualtrics as preferred survey platform

Published: May 09, 2024 by David Fanucchi

The university has changed its preferred survey platform from Qualtrics to QuestionPro after analysis and consideration of various factors, including user-friendliness and cost-effectiveness. QuestionPro offers several advantages that will streamline the survey process. The QuestionPro login link is now available from the Applications tab in the University A-Z Directory.

What is the timeline of this migration?
The migration process will be divided into two phases. The first phase will target surveys with fewer than 499 responses and will commence in May 2024. That phase is expected to be completed by August 31, 2024. The second phase will target the rest of the surveys and is expected to be completed by August 31, 2025.

What will happen to existing surveys in Qualtrics?
All existing survey data in Qualtrics will be securely transferred to QuestionPro, and every precaution is being taken to ensure that there is no loss of data during the migration.

IT Department leadership understands that change can sometimes be challenging, but is confident that this transition will ultimately enhance the survey capabilities for the university community and improve efficiency across the organization.

When will current Qualtrics licenses expire?
Qualtrics subscriptions (Enterprise licenses) will expire at the end of fiscal year 2025 (August 31, 2025). Any department planning to continue using Qualtrics after that date can purchase a license directly from Qualtrics. The IT Department will assist with coordinating a meeting between the department and Qualtrics, if necessary.

Will training and support be available for QuestionPro?
The IT Department will be providing training sessions and resources to familiarize all UTHealth Houston students, faculty, and staff members with the QuestionPro platform to ensure a smooth transition and empower everyone to utilize the new system effectively. Additionally, QuestionPro training videos are available for self-paced training.

The IT Solution Center team will also be available to assist with any questions or issues that arise during the migration process and afterward. Please do not hesitate to contact the IT Solution Center if you need assistance or encounter any difficulties at [email protected] or 713-486-4848.

Support is also available via email at [email protected] and [email protected]
or via phone at 1-800-531-0228 or 347-670-4090.

More information about QuestionPro is available on the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston IT website, the QuestionPro support page, or QuestionPro.com/help.
