Biography

Chase Findley, MD, serves as the Patricia and Ian Butler Endowed Distinguished Professor in Medical Professionalism at McGovern Medical School (MMS). He is also Associate Dean for Accreditation and Educational Quality Improvement, overseeing initiatives that ensure the medical school maintains the highest standards of education. Alongside these roles, he practices as a psychiatrist at the UTHealth Houston Dunn Behavioral Sciences Center.

At MMS, Dr. Findley serves in key leadership responsibilities in curriculum and accreditation. He chairs the MMS Curriculum Committee and has led multiple subcommittees devoted to accreditation and curriculum review.

Dr. Findley is also a highly regarded educator, working closely with students and residents in both classroom and clinical settings. He has a special interest in advising students interested in applying for psychiatry residency programs. His teaching has been recognized with numerous honors, including the John P. McGovern Outstanding Teacher Award, the Herbert L. and Margaret W. DuPont Master Clinical Teaching Award, and election to both the MMS Academy of Master Educators and The University of Texas Kenneth I. Shine, M.D., Academy of Health Science Education.
