Micah Knobles, MD, is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He completed medical school, adult psychiatry residency, and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), serving as chief resident in his final year. Dr. Knobles is board-certified in both adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
His interests include clinical medical education and the comprehensive assessment, treatment, and prevention of mental health conditions, particularly in expanding access to care through telemedicine and consultation within primary care settings. Dr. Knobles also has special interests in psychodynamic psychotherapy, emergency psychiatry, as well as adjustment disorders, somatic symptom disorders, and functional disorders. He practices as a humanistic physician, who values compassion and science to help recover the mind, body, and spirit.
