Biography

Killian Rainey Hughes, PhD is an assistant professor in the Faillace Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She is a licensed psychologist with a primary interest in providing evidence-based psychosocial interventions to adults with autism and co-occurring disorders (e.g., ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar, etc.). Dr. Hughes has training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Behavioral Therapy. She is passionate about providing individualized care to meet the unique needs of her patients.

Dr. Hughes earned her M.Ed in Counseling and PhD in School Psychology from the University of Houston. During her graduate training she gained experience at multiple school districts across the greater Houston area, UTHealth, Baylor College of Medicine, and The Harris Center. She completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Psychology at UTHealth under the supervision of Dr. Katherine Loveland. Dr. Hughes is an active member of the psychology training program and provides supervision to interns and postdoctoral fellows.
