Biography

Anahit Keshshyan , MD, is an Assistant Professor at the Louis A. Faillace Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Keshishyan has been interested in treatment of depression and particularly in difficult to treat depression also called treatment refractory/resistant depression and continued their education at Emory University’s Interventional Psychiatry Fellowship where they were particularly trained in ECT and ketamine/esketamine, VNS, DBS for treatment of depression. Keshishyan hopes to further their studies involving neuromodulation and bring innovative, up to date approaches to these modalities at UTHealth Houston. Keshishyan hopes to establish an Interventional Psychiatry Fellowship in the institution and train psychiatrists in this subspecialty that can offer hope for difficult to treat conditions.
