Ryan Cassidy, MD, PhD

Ryan Cassidy completed his medical and graduate education at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2020. He completed his psychiatry residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2024. His research focuses on demonstrating the existence and function of neurocircuits in the hypothalamus that affect the experience of anxiety and stress and how those interact with parallel circuits that affect eating. His clinical focus is providing integrated evidence-based treatment to individuals living with severe mental illness, aiming always for person-centered recovery goals and aspirations.
