BIP for Bipolar Depression
A Randomized, Stratified, Double-blind, Placebo-Controlled Study to Investigate the Efficacy, Safety and Tolerability of JNJ-55308942 in Bipolar Depression

The purpose of the study is to test a new medication for Bipolar Depression in patients with Bipolar Disorder. The study lasts for about 14 weeks total, and involves clinical and laboratory assessments, electrocardiograms (EKG/ECG), and a daily oral medication, all at no cost to you. For the duration of the study, you can continue taking most medications you are currently using, including mood stabilizers like lithium, lamotrigine, and others.
Compensation: As compensation for your time and compliance, a stipend of $51 per visit will be provided to participants, totaling over $400 by the end of the study.
We are recruiting for: Adults age 18-64 with Bipolar disorder and current depressive symptoms; currently on a stable dose of mood stabilizer; No personality/psychotic/eating disorders; no nonresponse to ECT/Ketamine during current episode
