National Network of Depression Centers
The UTHealth Houston Center for Interventional Psychiatry is an active participant in the National Network of Depression Centers (NNDC), a consortium of leading academic institutions dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of depressive disorders through clinical excellence, research collaboration, education, and advocacy.
The NNDC brings together centers of excellence across the United States with a shared mission to improve outcomes for individuals with depression, particularly those with severe, complex, and treatment-resistant illness. Membership reflects a commitment to high standards of clinical care, innovation, and collaboration.
Role and Significance
Participation in the NNDC allows the Center to:
- Collaborate with peer academic institutions on best practices in depression care
- Contribute to and participate in multi-site clinical research initiatives
- Engage in national discussions on standards of care, policy, and innovation
- Support education and knowledge exchange among clinicians and researchers
Through this network, the Center remains closely aligned with national advances in the diagnosis and treatment of depression, including the development and evaluation of interventional and neuromodulation-based therapies.
