Chazmin Peterson-Calip
Chazmin holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion from the University of Houston and is now pursuing her master’s degree in Public Health at Liberty University. She started her career working as a personal trainer and lifestyle coach at multiple sites for the YMCA of Greater Houston. There she made exercise programs and facilitated evidence-based programs for individuals and groups of all ages. Special populations included cancer survivors, seniors, and families with obese children.
Her most recent position was the Health Outreach Specialist for the Harris County Public Health: Community Health & Wellness Division. She facilitated virtual and in person, evidence based chronic disease prevention classes based on nutrition and physical activity. Sites included schools, community centers, public libraries, and residential buildings. She is also a certified Community Health Worker and finds joy in serving her church and local community on the weekends.
