This study is currently looking for people who:

• Age 8 to 20 years old
• Can speak and read English
• Have had traumatic experience (abuse, neglect, physical injury, motor vehicle accident, loss of a loved one)

Study Description:

This study aims to connect the academic medical centers across Texas and observe the youth in the years following a traumatic life event. Children and their caregivers – caregivers will be asked questions about their child- will complete questionnaires about exposure to traumatic events as well as emotions and behaviors that may have occurred since the event. Participants will complete a baseline interview, 1-, 6-, 12-, 18, and 24-month follow-ups.

The children and young adults will be compensated for their time.
