This study is currently looking for people who:
- Are 18+ Years of age.
- Have a diagnosis of and receiving treatment for Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD).
- Have a Gmail account and use Chrome for internet searches AND willing to allow access to patient visit data
- Willing and able to complete study elements with the team
Study Description:
The central question this study seeks to address is whether internet search information increases readiness to change for patients with problematic alcohol use, resulting in the receipt of a formal AUD diagnosis from a provider and engagement in AUD treatment (documented electronically in the medical record). Only key words related to alcohol use and treatment options will be extacted from the internet search data. Other search data will not be retained. All identifying and personal participant information will be removed to make the data anonymous.
All participants will be compensated for their time.
