This study is currently looking for people who:
- Age 8 to 18 years old
- Can speak and read English
- Have experienced death of a loved one (caregiver, aunt, teacher, etc.) since March 2020; death can be due to COVID-19 or other causes
Study Description:
The purpose of this study is to increase understanding of pandemic-related bereavement in children and adolescents. Researchers are exploring effects of COVID-19 and nonCOVID-19 deaths on patterns of posttraumatic stress, grief, depression, and the resulting impairment (difficulty in school, with peers, and at home). Children will complete interviews about the emotions experienced since the death of a loved one and the caregiver will be asked questions about their child.
The children and young adults will be compensated for their time.
