Danita Gallegos, LCSW-S received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University and her Masters in Social Work degree from the University of Houston. Danita began her social work career at Texas Children’s Hospital where she covered the pediatric cardiovascular intensive care unit, the emergency room child physical and sexual abuse cases and the pediatric cancer center. Danita then continued her professional journey as a School Social Worker in Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District for 6 years.  Before joining the TCHATT Program, she served as a Psychotherapist with Clearhope Counseling and Wellness Center in Pasadena, Texas where she performed office and school-based therapy. For over 8 years, she has worked with the Behavioral Health Connection’s Mobile Assessment Team where she completes psychiatric assessments.  She has a strong passion for diversity and serves as a Trainer and Consultant with the National Hispanic and Latino Mental Health Technology Transfer Center Network.
