This study is currently looking for people who:

  • Cisgender woman
  • Are 18 to 60 years old
  • Experienced traumatic event(s) and have had or currently in treatment for a trauma-related mental health condition
  • Willing to participate in a 3-week behavioral intervention to learn about HIV prevention and Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)

Study Description:

The goal of this study is to test a behavioral intervention for increasing PrEP uptake and adherence among women who have trauma related mental health conditions and who engage in sexual behaviors or substance use that may increase susceptibility to HIV. During the study, you will be selected to either participate in three counseling sessions and a visit with a nurse practitioner or visit a community partner to be assessed for PrEP eligibility. We also ask all participants to complete questionnaires

All participants will be compensated for their time.
